First You ‘Sea’ Me, Now You Don’t…

I'm a night owl, whether it's school days or not, I usually get alive near 10pm. And no matter when I go to sleep, I always fall asleep near 11:30. I don't think my dad is either a night owl or a early riser because he goes to sleep early and likes to sleep in. My mum, I'm not really sure of either. She's up late a lot but also wakes up earlier? Maybe their should be 2 more types of people. My brother might be a night owl too.

  1. Kia Ora Hannah,

My name is Rachel and I am working with the Summer Learning Journey blogging programme this year. Today I have the chance to read through the blogs from Grey Main school and I am really enjoying it! I particularly liked this post as you did a nice job of telling us about you, your mom and your dad. It sounds like your parents are a little bit of both - a night owl and an early riser. I am personally an early riser because I get up most days at about 5:30 a.m. I like to go to the gym before work so I try to leave my house between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. in order to get to the gym and to my office by 8:00 a.m.

Given that I get up so early I am usually pretty tired by about 10:00 p.m. and typically head to bed around 10 or 10:30. My partner, Andy, is a night owl who loves to stay up and, like you, wakes up at about 10 p.m. (just as I am falling asleep!)

Hope that you get lots of good sleep over the break and have a wonderful, relaxing start to 2019.

I am looking forward to reading more of your posts soon.

    Bye for now!

    Rachel :)
