Yesterday, we began to read The Mine's Afire. Right after reading the first chapter or so, we did a comprehension activity of what we read. Here is what I wrote.
Kia ora Hannah, I enjoyed reading your answers to this activity. Whenever I read books about this time in history, I imagine being a mother, with several children to love and worry about, it would be joyous but also heartbreaking. And all that washing, but no washing machine! I look forward to reading about chapter 2! Mum
